A 170-metre high residential skyscraper consisting of two connected towers by a sky bridge, one 23 stories and the other 50 stories featuring apartments designed by Donatella Versace. The smaller tower is topped with a sky garden a level 24.
Due to construction sequencing the priority to get the North Tower slipform underway before the basement core pilecap was complete. The site would be simultaneously continuing with the slipform above B1 level whilst excavating the basement formation level, infilling the gap between the basement and the underside of the temporary grillage structure.
To construct a temporary grillage platform at basement B1 level to support the slipform core walls, providing fully co-ordinated detail drawings with cast in elements to mitigate buildability issues. Ensuring our detail drawings captured not only the structure moving up but also to accurately provide coupler bars for the continuation of the walls below to basement level. The walls below the grillage structure had been detailed to allow the safe removal of the grillage structure once cast.
